Disassembly & recycling
As part of our journey towards more sustainable practices we use our design process to focus on the ability to disassemble the products for recycling. Which materials are used, how they are combined, and how they are separated into individual parts and sorted for recycling after ended life cycles.
Each design creates a new challenge and some designs are more suited for disassembly than others, but the ECO-dimension is always an integral part of our way of thinking.

Designed for
flat packing
We have always loved the simple and logic arguments for flat packing.
The low volume packages reduce the risk of damages, lower costs, and reduce CO2 emissions during transportation and storage. Flat packed furniture is great for access, and in-home assembly means increased value as it eases handling from the store through narrow staircases and hallways to the living room. We continuously strive to reduce the impact our products have on nature.
Beside flat packing, we use a minimum of plastic in our packaging and have changed to more sustainable packaging alternatives. We are not CO2 neutral, but we keep working hard to minimize our CO2 footprint.

Planting 10.000+ trees every year
To contribute to the balance of the global ecosystem Innovation Living plants more than 10.000 trees every year to help compensate for our consumption of wood. The trees we plant are monitored by a certified forester.

Replacement of spare parts
We urge our users to reconsider before disposing their sofa. We provide the ability to renew spare parts and for some designs washable and detachable covers that can be renewed to prolong a product’s life cycle.
Offering this option encourages to engage in circular consumer patterns instead of purchasing new. Give your Innovation Living product a second life by reusing, refurbishing or repairing it.

Detachable, washable & renewable
We place a strong focus on removable covers, as they offer greater flexibility in everyday life and can help extend the lifespan of your furniture. Removable covers allow you to choose more delicate fabrics, as they can be taken off and cared for. And when the cover eventually shows signs of wear – or you simply want a new look – it can be replaced instead of replacing the entire piece of furniture.
