Innovation
Living™ was founded in 1971 in Denmark by Flemming Højfeldt. Inspired by his
personal experience with the first production communities of the flower power
generation, he started the company with a production of beanbags. At the end of
the 1980s the desire to produce own design took over. Flemming was inspired by
the successful Japanese futons, as well as the desire to create an independent
brand with own original designs. This was the idea behind the successful sofa
bed concept known as Innovation Living.
From the mid-70s to the mid-80s, CozyPad stood as a cornerstone of Innovation Living. Our founder, Flemming Højfeldt, emerged from Copenhagen’s vibrant hippie scene, where his creative journey began with handcrafted candles and leather belts.
Inspired by this free-spirited lifestyle, Flemming launched a playful collection of what he called “playboy couches”—basic, multifunctional, foam-based pieces that brought effortless comfort to laid-back interiors in Europe.
Today, we proudly reintroduce this iconic archetype under a new name: CozyPad. A tribute to timeless comfort, reimagined with modern craftsmanship—true to our heritage, yet designed for the way we live now."
